    It's not fake stone , and you have less clue about that than MOT did when we argued about it the first time .

    The plywood is sealed , which makes it non-porous . If this were fake stone you would put a bond break ( paper ) and metal lath on the wall . Why ? because the fake stone is not capable of supporting weight from the stones above , you rely on the mud to bond the fake stone to the lath and then use a grout bag and grout the joints .

    This is real stone , all the stones on the bottom can and do bear the weight of all the stones above them , they are interlocked behind with mortar and there are brick ties tying the whole works to the plywood wall behind .

    You could remove the plywood and the wall would not fall down .

    Go snake a drain
