I keep getting stuck in the snow

So is mine only she has plow duty during winter.

 

Weight should help but really the best thing is some good tires if you cant run chains. The BFG ATs do well, but my BFG MT KMs do better from what i've seen when i've snow wheeled with friends this winter. They clean out really well and keep me chuggin along.

 

Is that what is for sale for $89 at tirerack? I just saw a thread on the front page for bfg MT's for $89. I think that would only be a half inch taller than what I have now. I wish I would'nt have seen that.

 

yep those would be the tires i'm running. Amazing deal on a great tire. Too bad I don't put a ton of miles on my truck and get new tires every year or i'd be getting another set.

 

I swear I looked everywhere for these exact tires before I bought my AT's and could not find them. I only have 5000 miles on my AT's so the "honey, i need new tires" line aint gonna fly. I could tell her I need them for the jeep though.... so what if it only has 15" rims, they'll fit.

You don't need more "droop". You need to be smarter than the snow bank.

 

I'm confused. Aren't we talking about stopping snow? How did deer get worked into the conversation?

 

He tried putting up the snow fence to stop the snow from drifting but those mischievous deer kept taking it down running thru it....imagine a far side cartoon

 

The stock BFG'S on the OFF ROAD are the worst i have ever used on a truck in the snow. The list would include Revos, Wrangler RT'S, Dunlop Radial Rovers, whatever the stock Dunlops were on my 87', and the Firestone's that were recalled some years ago.

Regardless, driving into 2-3 ft drifts is probably going to get you into trouble.
