Some shots on Gold Mountain today testing it. Works awesome... driving on pavement is still taking some getting used to...

Great build man! Is the locker really bad on the pavement? I was reading up on that on their website. Is this your daily driver or weekend warrior?

weekend warrior. Its pretty bad on pavement but im getting used to it. I dont mind it. Its actually funny to see the look on peoples faces when driving around a parking lot. Everyone thinks your and asshole burning out until they turn and look and im barely moving backing out of a parking space

Yeah parking spots can be challenging with the locker! I usually back into them and that helps.

What's the carrier bearing preload? Does your rear driveshaft have a slip joint?

    yes rear has slip joint

the carrier preload is the force excerted on the sides of the carrier bearings to make sure the carrier/ring doesnt slide side/side at all. has to be about 12-15 inch pounds. you measure through the pinion shaft and multiply by the gear ratio so if you measure 3in/lb through the pinion and multiply by 4.10 itd be 12.3in/lb within spec

one of the vids i found. seems really simple to do, just intimidating

Just watched the whole thing. Good video. I thought you were talking about the center support bearing for the driveline. That's why I asked. Doesn't seem too bad. I've never done one before. Mr. Murphy has done some. When you re-gear does it come with the proper shims? Or is it always trial and error?
