LED Gauge Cluster Mod

I ordered micro LED's from oznium.com and i will be replacing those ugly amber ones with blue led's and those orange needles with cool white ones. I am willing to take pictures and make a how to mod thread if you guys want me to. Yes or No?

Did you order white needles? I did mine and there's a very simple way to change the stock needles to white.

 

I was just telling my wife that i really dont care for the redish orange color of the gauges, some blue lighting would be cool, YES do a "how to" on this and of course some pics, i already know it will look SICK!

 

I think you need the led light, i bought some led light from these wholesalers:
1.Where have the cheap and good led light:BangGood,DX,FP,etc
2.About the price:It is normally not more than 10$.
3.About the quality:I think it is good at present.

 

where do you order the white needles from?

i used the one from toyotanation i say do a write up, i used blue leds from oznium for my gauge and the smaller leds for my stereo ive had it for awhile now and no problems at all. considering ive never soldered anything like that before i did a great job.

 

you dont. you scrape the paint off the stock ones and repaint them white or red or pink.

Actually there is a website where you can order them from in any color.....just don't remember it

I have a quick question before I pull the trigger on this mod myself: What size LED's are used on this? On Oznium, I see these:http://www.oznium.com/plcc-2 and they are listed as 3.5X2.8mm but I keep seeing references to 5mm LED's on the toyotanation write-up What size is correct?

 

I'm pretty sure the correct led's are the plcc2's. I'll check when I get home

 

plcc2 is correct.

5mm led is for your window button and in the center console, your passengar airbag, seat belt, and the key thing
