Getting ready for Dove season to begin in a couple weeks... I'll be out early morning on opening day!

Anyone else going Dove hunting? Anyone in So Cal heading out for opening day?

    this^ dove'dango

jalapeno slice in the center, dove breast wrapped in bacon held together with a toothpic. Make as many as you can and take a baking dish and load them all up in it. get some good marinade. We use Claude's brisket marinade http://www.claudessauces.com/products.html . let them soak in the fridge for a few hours. lay some foil on the grill and get it nice and hot then cook and eat! Great snack for football games!

you can also use a pinapple slice in place of the pepper if you have people that dont want anything spicey. Both are really good.
My dad also makes this with deer meat as well

I use to go out to Palmdale, CA when I lived in L.A. and there would be a million doves out there. Blast em in the morning as they flew in the city then blast em in the afternoon flying back out. Lots of dove out here in Tn too though.

same here in TX. no limit and they are way bigger than the smaller ones that have a "season" :D
I bought one for the same reason, 50 bucks at academy and it takes them out just fine. They are like pigeons. they sit above our driveway and shit waterfalls onto our cars. Ive trimmed as many branches as I possibly can with a pole saw

Haha, good ol' Eurasians.:D I'm getting myself psyched up.
Last season was the first season since I lost my honey hole (greatest dove spot on Earth;)) and it wasn't too good.
As of this year, AZG&F is in charge of where you can and can not hunt ouside and inside municipalities. They were so kind as to provide a map as well.
I expect it to be a great dove season.:D

Cut Millet fields this past week. Doves are slowly finding the cut field and working their way to the field. Geese are hammering the freshly cut hay fields too. Should be a fun September 3rd.

Same here in CA with the Eurasians... no limit on those.

We wrap our dove in bacon and soak them in milk over night in the fridge... helps to get rid of the gamy taste. I'll have to try the jalapeno technique this time around!

Just don't go over the limit on Dove... got a $500 fine 2 years back cause I had one extra in my vest (was done hunting at that point and didn't even have my gun with me).
