Keyless Entry RS3000 Dealer or Factory?

I have an '01 Tacoma DobleCab Limited and need to order a new remote key fob. I had my VIN ran at the dealership and he told me that my truck has the VIP RS3000 system, but he didn't know if it was a dealer install or a factory install. There's a couple different remotes on Ebay and one is for the dealer installed system (it lists as RS3200 not RS3000) and one is for the factory installed system (listed as just Toyota Security System). Will the RS3200 remote work for an RS3000 system? If not, where do I get a new remote? I don't really wanna pay the $100+ my dealer quoted me for a replacement. Thanks.

 

Buy the replacement fob on ebay. That is what I did. They are dirt cheap. It comes with instructions on programming the fob.

 

I want to buy the replacement on Ebay, but don't know which one to get. There are a couple different ones for my year of truck.

 

i say that the rs3200 is different to the rs3000. they are two different looking remotes so i dont think you can interchange. the rs3000 is for 98-02 and rs3200 is 00-03
