Okay guys here is the actual thread where I will make the lists (I'm getting 2 pass-around lights to get through people faster!)

First a picture of what you're getting to play with:

I believe it will be a silver one like the one in the back.

Now, because I'm getting two lights, I am going to make two lists. Each person in the list will get the light then ship it on to the next guy. I will organize the list based on who responded with interest in the previous thread initially, but I may do some reorganizing based on distance to minimize all shipping costs. I've been told there are a few rules:

    The Rules
    1. Must be over 18

    2. Was a min of 6 months of 200 posts, but A few members who seem very up and up dont meet this, so I will only be removing one member from the list since the request to play with this was his first post. Not supposed to do this but I just love Tacomaworld and know you guys are trustworthy! Very sorry to that member but I might be on the hook for these so am trying to somewhat follow the rules.

    3. Posted by minimum of Registered Mail Special Delivery (Not sure what this means other than it must be tracked and signature on deliver I believe, you yanks will know more than me)
    4. Torch to be held for maximum of one week
    5. Names, addresses and a contact telephone numbers to be PM'd to me prior to passaround start. This is non negotiable.
    6. Please don't abuse the torch (like they do in their crazy video for example)
    7. Torch to be returned to me by final participant.

Once you get the light, please post your thoughts in this thread, and any pictures if you'd like. They told me their main goal is to get comments, suggestions, and reviews from professionals and others who can put this light to the test!

I will have the lights monday and then they will go out to the first people on the two lists.

NOW HERE IS THE INITIAL LIST. THIS MAY CHANGE:

    East:

    1.deerslayer75
    2.NC10TRDSPORT
    3.hookedontronics
    4.t4daddy
    5.SoftShellTaco
    6.goforlow
    7.Fink
    8.mntbiker2008

    West:

    1. 97yota4wd
    2. cummins6speed
    3. memario1214
    4. AsianAnts cancelled.
    5. kirkofwimbo
    6. The Yellow Dart
    7. Tacoma675

Each person on the list must PM me as follows:

    Name:
    Phone #:
    Address:
Intended use: (Eg. Hunting, fishing, working, general, whatever)

Once you PM me, I will mark it by your name. Everyone has until Monday to PM me. On Monday at 6pm PST I will cull the list of those that have not PM'd, then reorganize the list based on geography a bit to save everyone some money (Though I'm told shipping a small package costs very little in the USA). Come Tuesday I will ship the lights out to the first on the lists!

Once you get the light, put it through its paces without wrecking it for the next guy of course, post whatever you want in this thread, then ship it on to the next guy on the list. I will be PMing the receivers with the contact information of the next recipient.

    Enjoy everyone!

EDIT: I forgot to say that if you are not on the list it is not too late. Simple PM me your information and you will be added as long as it is before monday 6pm. Thanks!

I also got to play with one not long ago. Very well made seeming. Rather than knurling, to protect your clothes they have used a rough matte aluminum anodizing. The stock user interface was very easy to use. The programming can get pretty complicated but if you get the knack you can basically design your own user interface.

You can pick how many brightness's you want with the head tight and loose, pick what types of modes there are, what type of regulation there is, pretty much anything! It will even read you the battery voltage.

So for an initial, how to use, you basically have the head tight, and the head loose a bit.

To switch modes within the 'head tight (which they call the first line)' you just loosen and tighten the head quickly (within a second). If you leave the head loose for longer than a second, it will switch to head loose modes (second line).

    These are the default brightnesses.

    1. Military.
    First Line: 500lm (1.5A) Ж 5lm (15mA) Ж 100lm (250mA) / FULL stabilization
Second Line: Strobe (15Hz) Ж Firefly (3.7mA) / SEMI stabilization

So for example if you turn the flashlight on with the head tight, it will start at 500 lumens (Full brightness). Loosen the head and quickly tighten it and you have a very low brightness, suitable for skulking around your bedroom without waking the wife. Then one more time and you have a medium every day usage brightness.

Loosen it for more than a second, or turn it one with the head loosened, and you will either get a strobe light, or a ultra low brightness mode.

I wont explain the programming here. I found it not too tough, but it is definitely more advanced.

Here is a link to the PDF that explains the entire light. The english isn't perfect in it for sure, but it does a good job of explaining how to get around the light's interface I found.

    Enjoy everyone! Send those PM's.

PM me your info and I'll add you to the list for the tryout. Unless you meant you just want to buy one then just go to the Armytek site.

Thanks, I had thought about trying it out first. But the reviews and specs look good so I just ordered it.

I was looking for something a little more aggressive then my Streamlight strion.

    Got em guys, list edited.

I'm also waiting to hear from the manufacturer about batteries. CR123's are kind of expensive. Most who ordered this would have rechargables but I doubt that comes with the light.

So I'll keep everyone updated on what they say.

If we are going to need batteries, I would suggest ordering from http://www.batteryjunction.com.You can get the CR123 batteries for less than 2 dollars a piece. I have ordered from here and they have a great reputation on a lot of the flashlight forums

They have Energizers going for $1.43 a piece if you buy 1-11, anything above that gets even cheaper. This is by far better than buying them at any store, as most stores charge 10-12 dollars just for one

Ya if the manufacturer doesn't include any I may just have some shipped as well to the first people on each list. Then they can just include the extras for the remainder of the people.
