hey guys just got my 09 access cab and im loving it !

the only issue i have with the truck so far is the stereo, it well sucks

so what are my options ? i have been seeing people putting the double din gps/dvd units in their trucks... what ones are the best and what ones to avoid ?

what are my options for rear speakers since toyota decided to put 2" computer speakers in the headliner that sound terrible.

what are my options for a sub ? im not looking for anything crazy, just one and probably a 10"

also if i upgrade my head unit is there a way i can still utilize the factory AUX input jack ?

    thanks guys

i built a box for a single 10 for an 09 access cab, i will post pictures tonight, you will loose some passanger space though. not sure if thats a big concern for you. Also what will you be using the AUX input for? (iPod? Zune?) Alpine HU's as well as most other's have ipod cables that you can route to the glove box or center console.

I talked to the guy at XtremeKreaations and he said they would not work for an 09 due to the rear part of the access cab changing slightly. I was looking into them, but after i found that out, i decided to build my own.

I agree, the stock Stereo is brutal!!! Especially when using the AUX input jack. The audio from the CD player seems to sound a bit more defined and louder. Thoe speakers in the cieling of the Access cab are so bad its almost funny! It sounds worst than music played on a cell phone! Why even bother with those speakers? Is there a solution to keeping the stock head unit, running better speakers in the stock locations with an amp running it all? Thats what I would like to do.

those wont work on an 09, the back has a center console in the middle. they are very nice though.
