Polyurethane Energy bushing vs moog bushings

I'm debating on bushings for my truck. First it needs the lower control arm bushings for the front. I have had good luck with moog parts and know they are pretty tough. I'm having trouble getting moog bushings. They make them its just the problem of getting them. Also Moog bushings would be $100 vs Energy Bushings would be about $45. Whos had experience with energy bushings? go or no go

Energy Suspensions makes good stuff. I've used their bushings in the steering rack kit as well as the rear leaf springs. Not familiar with the moog stuff. Are they polyurethane like the energy suspensions stuff?

 

moog is not polyurethane just a heavy dute aftermarket. any squeaks from the energy sus. bushings are anything you didnt like about them heard it both ways

 

I would always choose poly over rubber. If you go that way be sure you lube them up good so you wont have squeaks.

 

im debating poly is cheaper but ive heard some bad stuff about it

I have Energy poly bushings. They are awesome. Tightened up my steering. Oil and dirt can get around those all day and you don't have to worry about them.

I installed ES bushings in my '01 3 years ago (front only).
The uppers were cake, but the lowers are very difficult and don't think i would do it again. But they work and there are no noise issues I've ever noticed.

What have you heard? All the 2nd gen. aftermarket UCAs use poly bushings.

 

ive heard they dnt last as long and squeak but i also have found out proper grease and the silicone synthetic? particular type must be used

 

I've got the Engergy Suspension poly bushings. Go with the poly if you're replacing them anyway. They last longer, and if you get red, they look cool (lol). I got a kit both uppers and lowers for around $40. I got a kit for the rear leaf pack too. Currently sitting in my garage collecting dust as I try to find the time to put them in!

I've only replaced the front uppers so far, but will likely be doing the lowers soon. Need to get my steering rack off first. Damn stuck bolt... doh.

 

Grease them up really good when installing. I didn't and now Im putting up with squeaking which is driving me nuts. I cant be fudged pulling it all apart again to grease them, but will have to at some point.

 

i need to replace my inner tie rod ends too. I just replaced outters. have inners so i think i will have enough clearance once i take the inner tierod end off.

 

you mean the entire bushing? outside inside grease everywhere?

Outside definately. Inside, sure. Last thing you want is an annoying squeak. Even some WD40 or that silicon lube spray. Just don't try to stick it in dry.
