Yea, I will miss it. The 02 was my 3ed 1st gen. I looked for a 1st gen 4 door for 3 months and there are a bunch out there but they all have over a 100k miles.

I am happy with the 2nd gen and theres no way in hell i'd buy anything other than a toyota so my options were kinda limited!!!

Understandable. No one wants to get rid of their first gens. double cabs are hard to come by.

I was going to post this up awhile ago, but ive been busy training in GA. It happened around March driving from UT to NM. It was raining, I was on a two-lane road going about 65, and sped up to pass a semi, got up to about 75 ish and BOOM. 3 consecutive pops in one big ass pop. based on damage i am assuming 1st pop was front u joint, 2nd was the drive line smashing/ kinking in my exhaust and denting floor board sheet metal, and 3rd was the rear u joint when it became completely detached from my truck. I then ran it over. it was epic. In my rear view mirror i could see cars swerving to dodge my drive line that was skidding and bouncing across the road at 75 mph. I stopped and then went and dug it out of the mud on the side of the road, put it in 4x4, and drove back to the previous town to have my buddy tow me home.

getting it fixed was a god awful hassle with toyota, seeing that it is an after market driveline. however i did buy my truck lifted with that driveline from the dealer, so after 4 weeks of battling with warranty, they fixed it all, no charge.

Since then I drove from UT to NM to Ft. Benning, GA. no issues

If you have a trd, the 2 gallon campbell hausfeld from lowe's will work. You can run it off the 110 outlet in your bed. It has a 25 ft hose, and all the adapters you need to air up swimming toys, tires, and some lightweight stuff around the house. Mine zactly fits in the truckbox in the back of my truck. Comes with a brad gun, hose, whole bunch of stuff and runs about $100. Everytime I have bought a cheap air compressor, I have had to buy another one. This is one of those times where you get what you pay for. Just make sure the one you get pulls less than 3.5 amps. Otherwise it will pull more amps than the stock inverter can put out. If you can get it, the military discount will cover the tax. Just my $0.02.

So, sadly enough, I have left the Tacoma World, disabilities from the Marine Corps have left me needing to go back to a car,,,, so IS300 it is.
which means I took the following off the Taco before letting it go and now it needs a new home:

-TRD supercharger (not one of the Chinese made ones like are being sold now)
    comes with:
-high boost 2.1" pulley installed on it
-Dynamic tensioner upgrade and serpentine belt
-all necessary hardware AND THE DISCONTINUED AIR BYPASS CHECK VALVE
-URD USA 7th injector kit, everything needed except for the fuel pump
-2 sets of iridium spark plugs
-serial cable to connect to lap top
    -Greddy Boost gauge
-Greddy EGT gauge (needs a new sensor)
-Downey Headers (never installed) and black exhaust wrap

I am asking $2250 or best/first REASONABLE offer (dont be a pompus ass and say $1000,,,,, or say it but then go slam your head against the toilet to try to get the crap out of there:D)

charger boosted great when it was on, never had any worries and the URD kit was very good to have also.

dont really want to part this out, but if your really simply want 1 thing or another there is no harm in asking right???

for faster response text or call me please
    505-730-4161

thanks guys and girls,,, I will miss my Tacoma, but at least I am smart enough to get another Toyota right :)
