    How it works:
    1. Someone posts a situation that occurred to them.
    2. next person states what THEY would have done, then posts their own situation.
    3. next person states what they would have done, yada yada rinse and repeat.

    I'll start..

My gf recently dumped me for her ex (after a year). Long story short, he's the definition of a class-A asshat/douchecanoe. He's also ridiculously paranoid. Whenever she goes out, and doesnt come home "on time" he'll start calling her friends, and usually ends up calling me and threatening me about blah blah blah. He's also pulled a knife on me before.

Saw his truck at the beach today, then found this in my windshield
    [IMG]

    what would YOU do?
    ( I left a note on his truck saying "What's a back fucker?" )

All depends on how threatened you are, some people would kick his ass, some would try to let it go, some would bring that note to the police just so if anything does happen you have it on record that he initiated things before hand, I had a buddy who had the almost exact thing happen to him except it was an axe handle instead of knife and the girls new bf would drive by my buddies house when the gf went to work in case she lied and and was at my buddies house, (kid was retarted paranoid) ended up they got into it one early morning after a bar crawl and the kid came back with the axe handle and broke my buddies hand and fractured his elbow, defending the blows with the handle....if it were me I would tell that fucker he better hope to god he doesnt miss with the knife and let me get a hold of it cause I would cut his fucking balls off, thats such a bitch move but people are nuts nowadays it used to be square up-fight-see who the better man was that day not fight-come back with weapons and shit and more buddies to jump you...disgusting the shit that cowards do today...whatever you do man protect your neck, its your livelihood and its not worth it over a girl who broke up with you

well theres three ways to go about that situation...

    1) call the police, hes harassing you, and writing threatining letters, and pulled a knife DOWNFALL: makes you look like a pansy and he will probably get more angry

    2) stand up and fight him, whoop his ass DOWNFALL: you get your ass beat

    3) ignore it DOWNFALL: he'll always think hes tougher

i was walking back to my taco and saw some guy bent over behind my truck trying to undo my d-ring hitch, i calmly grabbed my friends baseball bat (he had practice) and made it visible as i asked him "what the hell do you think your doing" he stood up said "calm down man" then booked, i saw he had broken my hitch lock off and was 3 seconds from gettin away

    Your situation:
1.Face to face altercation..walk away..(Always my number one option unless theres absolutely no way out..)
    2. Pull out a knife on me.. Possibly pull my firearm on him..only to fire if he were really going to stab me but otherwise..its only there as a back up.
    3. Leaving notes on eachothers trucks/cars..would lead me to remissness on my highschool days..and have a good laugh lol

    My situation:
Going to work early one morning to find a bum taking a dump near the entrance to my shop..I only yell at him for being disrespectful and dirty..then ended up cleaning up the mess myself after he walked away with a big grin on his face.. what would you do?

I would have put it back on HIS truck with a smiley face added.

I would have told him that next time he is free to use the shop bathroom.

    Situation:

As a young teen (13 years old?), house gets broken into, sentimental family heirlooms get stolen. Huge sense of devastation and loss since grandmother just passed and the whole family written history as well as other items are now gone.

Fast forward 15 years. Run across childhood friend not seen for 11 years. After having a lovely lunch and a wonderful two days of "catch up", she confesses that she and her boyfriend at the time were the ones that broke into my house. After she is done telling me, she sighed and said "Boy, am I glad to get that off my chest. So anyway, what are you doing this weekend?"

    What would you do?

I would have asked her for the guy's number so I can thank him for taking the you-know-what witch (that starts with a B) away so I wouldn't have to deal with her cheating antics ever again. Then for funsies I would tell him that I had STDs. :D

I would have asked if they kept anything...How would they sell a written family history?
...THEN forced compensation of some sort.

My hypothetical opinion to OP and the heirloom theft is:

apply surgical gloves, beat the dog shit out of them at night. No witnesses, no police reports.

She said that he took most of the stuff and didn't know where he or the stuff is. Family history probably got thrown out. I don't think they actually went through things till after they took them.

I doubt it. This confession came many years later. I grew up with this girl, our parents were friends. By the time I found this out, her mother had passed, her dad was getting senile and she herself had shown signs of schizophrenia. As a matter of fact, her father had told me that she had this diagnosis and asked me to keep the loyalty and "take care of Kathleen when I die".

I felt very hurt and betrayed but I couldn't bring myself to physically hurt her.
