SoCal Tacoma LED Cluster Swap

Actually I want to check your ur radio/clock. I was told that on the new trucks u can swap out the clocks color!!!!

N I can explain to you what do to on the radio swap

so lets just say i do the white with the blue needles. since the blue is so dark it pretty much would fade when trying to dimmer down the white??

Whatever you see right now (stock) when dimming the the lights is gonna look n do exactly the same when u swapped them to any color so if ur stock needles look darker than ur background then it's gonna be the same when u do the swap

UPDATE Thanks to AsianAnts & Rashnu, I have checked n confirm that on the 2010+ Tacomas you can intact change out the clock color. Those trucks come with new clocks that require 3 of the same LEDs like that ones that come on the clusters

How did you do the green on "Bobby15:
Green with white needles"? Is the redline blacked out on the RPM gauge or does it use red LEDs normally?

 

I honestly never noticed the dark part on the redline b4 lol...normally it uses the background light to light up.
N I did his cluster just like I do every other cluster

Lol...like I said, good luck my friend. They're small LEDs and they're on there tight so be careful not to burn the pad. N make sure u put them on right becuz the polarity has to go a certain way remember

to answer your question, the red line doesnt really light up ...see pic below

or put white LED instead of green and colour the back of the gauge green ??

 

ghetto rigging the cluster is not possible.....well not easy. n if i where to add a white the cluster would look a bit off. plus you dont have to see the red line

 

this morning, speedo was saying 20mph... but there was a radar that said i was going 40mph

needle got stuck on corner of tape.. LOL!!! no worries, i have it marked still. waiting on some LEDs from oznium so i can make some changes
