How do you turn off all the safty shit.

My wife and i recently purchsaed a 2011 sport DC LB 4x4, I have one complaint, every time i take it through my tree farm and want to have some fun sliding it around some muddy corners it goes into this clicking, brake hitting fit and the dash lights come on. I know it has something todo with that rsca or traction control bullshit, i have pushed the bottons but it keeps doing it, how do you stop that or can you totaly disconnect it, what a joke that stuff is. Push and hold the VSC button for 3 seconds

Take 10 minutes and read the manual that came with the truck , generally in the glovebox

 

Abs mod or locker mod are the only ways to turn it ALL the way off. Trust us.. we've all tried. abs mod Is next on my list.

 

The RSCA switch is to turn off the side curtain air bags when offroading at angles that might get it to deploy.

 

Read the manual. There's lots of interesting stuff in there.

Basically, you have a kill switch for this feature under 30 mph.

Why don't you just cut the seat belts. You cant move around freely with them on! Then cut off the doors. who the hell needs doors when you can experience open air! Then take out the airbags. If you hit something, you're gonna hit it. No point in NOT seeing what you hit right? Airbags would just get in the way.

Then take the brakes off. What a joke. Who the hell wants to stop the fun?

I understand your frustration with all the soccar mom safety crap they got on cars now days. How did we ever get along without the traction control, anti skid shit, tire pressure monitors, and every other fucking monitor/sensor? I guess there wasn't enough to go wrong before so the auto manufacturers threw in a few more goodies to make money on.

 

Ya I can't believe we have to pay extra for GFCI in bathrooms and you can't get an extension cord with two male ends and you have to have training to use heavy equipment or fly a plane.
Hell we got along great without electricity or indoor plumbing for thousands of years... guess it was just invented so we'd have to buy more stuff and the man could make a buck on the utility bills.

Yes, for the niche crowd that actually uses their truck off-road, these things can sometimes be an inconvenience, but for most of the world, they are life savers.

 

Be nice to have a factory installed switch to disable ALL electronically controlled safety features, this includes the seatbelt chime! Turn it into what its supposed to be, a real truck, instead of a minivan with a bed.

 

Let's be fair...it's more of a Camry with a bed.

Lots of us are...but there are ~60K people on this site...There are 130K-180K Tacoma's sold a year. I don't want that many retards driving around without all the help they can get!!

 

I'd like to see a disable switch , especially in snow .

My problem is people too lazy to spend two minutes looking in the manual

 

After he figures out how to turn it off and crashes the truck and will be back bashing Toyota for building a truck that can't be controled in a slide. It's there to protect you and us from you.
