if i remember correctly when i took mine off i just got a flat head screwdriver and carefully popped it off. i think i still broke the clips cause i was a little reckless taking it off. but i didnt need the clips anyways for what i had planned.

and putting it back on? may just want to spray paint the whole black area of the grille then. or just take it off. if you break the clips then just superglue the emblem back on. shouldnt be a problem.

Good Idea! and yes, couple clips in the back side, carefully pry them while tugging on the front, it'll pop right off.

    On my 2013 Tacoma:

How to remove the logo on the grill.

Open the hood and look at the back of the grill. There should be 3 catches. 2 on the sides and one on the bottom, push them up slightly, this will not break it. Pull it out once it is loose. There you have it. :)
