For the amount of miles and the things that are wrong with it they want too much, we paid $1500 for my 96 with 178,000 miles on it.

In my opinion this one's a way better deal.

I honestly think you could find a better one for the same amount of money, it has a bunch of miles ( i know these trucks last a long time), the interior looks pretty beat up, the hood scoop i personally dont like and i think you could definately find one in better shape... Just my 2 cents :D

yeah i like it 2. and it has less miles. and cd player and stuff. the main stuff i’m looking for is. ’01 to 04. 5 speed, extended cab (not DC want more bed for gear and stuff) and 4x4. color i don’t really care, or if it has some dings. or what the bumpers look like. if/when i get a 01 to 04 i will do front and rear H/C bumpers and sliders.

No way! The interior is beat to shit AND the front end is smashed in. I wouldn't pay more than $1,000 for that POS.

If you're planning on building a trail rig...i'd start looking for trucks no NEWER than 85

You can usually score one for under a grand...comes with a solid axle...and theres 23094823904832 aftermarket parts avail for upgrading the offroad capability

The white 96 is a good deal, i would do it. 01-04's are hard to find these days.

I say manual cause you have more control with your gearing and speed. But its all personal preference. I have never owned an auto, and i dont plan to until i get older.

if i found one in good shape i would get it. but all the ones i have seen on all the locale area CL have tones of rust. and i would like to have it street legal too. i don’t have a trailer i could put a truck on. and the biggest truck we have is a ’00 tundra. yeah it could tow it on a light trailer but we don’t have one. so i would like to be able to drive it too meets or to OHV parks.

yeah it is. and thats what i was thinking. my 07 is an auto. and i would not mind an 80’s toyota truck if it was in good shape. and i new i could drive it to OHV parks and stuff. and out of the older tacos i like the ’01 to ’04 the BEST but if something like 95.5 to ’01 came along in good shape i may get it instead.
