ok, so i DO NOT like confrontations. BUT, what the hell are we supposed to do when there is a question about "how to turn the dome light off?" or "is there a belt fluid?" or ""how do i turn off all the safety features?""

i can understand that this site must and should be a friendly site, but where does the common sense come in to read your fricking manual, or am i just bitching because that is what i would do (read the manual)? you fellas should maybe be alittle more lenient on how we answer stupid questions. or common sense questions. im sure alot of us dont have patients for common sense questions. sometimes it is also hard not to "reply" in a smart ass manner, when it is a stupid question.

Don't like the question? Move on. It's pretty simple and a whole lot easier than getting worked up by a n00b question.

Believe me. You probably haven't moderated a forum before. You should just let it go and move on or you'll stroke out.

I dont believe there is a line...nor should there be

Sure it seems like common sense to "read the manual" but what if the new guy bought a used truck and there wasnt a manual?

And as far as what you should do...just either answer the question, or leave it alone

    Maybe something like:

If you look in your manual, it'll say _____

If they continue to bring the ghey or act like a 12 year old girl, then by all means...have at them...but give them the benefit of the doubt at least at first

this is a stupid question, you do one of two things obviously... make smartass remark with answer hidden in said remark, or don't post a reply.

This site has led me to understand the true meaning of self control. For evey single freaking post title on the home page, I think of a smart ass response in my head. Every single one. The scar tissue on my tongue from biting it has become elephantine.
