Kinda wish I had a 600rr Never use my 1000 full potential. To much for turns to get it all going, and im not into going 180mph for thrills so she dosnt get unleashed much.

Not a bad bike to learn on. Glad to see u used your head when picking out your bike. I laugh when I hear someone say im gonna get a 1k because they dont wanna purchase multiple bikes for learners. Same ppl who end up telling us storys of scrubbing rocks out of their skin.

At least your smart enough not to go that fast. I can't tell you how many squids here go flying passed me easily doing triple digits on the highway with their sport bikes. I just have to prepare myself to see the dumbass scattered across the highway.

When I was running with the FD, we got a few calls for riders getting tossed off their bikes at high rates of speed (racing on the country roads usually). We never showed any sympathy towards them as we peeled them off the road. I remember one guy was yelling at us because we were hurting him as we put him on the backboard.... the medic looked at him and said, "suck it up. you were the dumb ass that wanted to go fast." :D

Be smart out there guys. You want to go fast, take it to the strips or track. Don't put other lives in danger.

There was way too many people out there with Liter bikes that can't ride. They just want the biggest engine possible. Makes me said cause I have seem people wipe out cause they just can't handle the 1000s

That's why I am sticking with a middleweight

Couldnt agree more with you. I like turns and have not been able to get to a track day yet but I will when I get home. 5 yrs of riding and she still manages to suprise me, learn something new every ride.

Definitely. I think it is a little bit to do with them being able to say they have X bike.
absolutely. I know guys that have been riding for over 40 years that say they still learn something new. Just the smallest changes make a bike ride totally different.

my dad totaled his bike over the weekend. he was on his way to gatlinburg tn when he said he started to feel weird. he shook it off, then he said the last thing he remembered was hitting the asphalt and tumbling down a hill. the bike kept going and wrapped around a tree. he did this off the blue ridge parkway. no broken bones, he's bruised, road rashed, swollen, and sore as hell though. he got lucky. cut his vaca real short, this happened on day two.
