As the Georgia Bulldog football team prepares for its season opening clash with seventh ranked Boise State in the Georgia Dome, the Athletic Association is asking Bulldogs everywhere to "Spread the Red" in an effort to unify the Bulldog Nation on Saturday, September 3, 2011. All fans, whether attending the game in the Georgia Dome or supporting the Dawgs from home, are encouraged to wear red on game day. Georgia will be sporting a new Nike Pro Combat uniform for the Boise State game that features a red jersey and red game pants.

More pics of the unis. They're....KINDA....growin on me. They look better in different light. I like the helmets...including the facemask. And the gloves. They're doin the thing like Alabama and Oregon had...where it makes the G when you put em together. And it has the dawg collar on it.

Bama started that and it was Julio Jones who originally did that! Start your own ideas!

Can't give credit to Bama... Nike started it w/ the gloves. Some are cooler than others. I liked when Ingram and Richardson each did it twice in the Rose Bowl...

    This.

I thought that was pretty awesome, too. But I like the ones where the gloves come together to make the logo. It'd be kinda hard to do that with the A I guess...

I dunno. If the images weren't on the gloves to begin with, Julio couldn't have started it. BUT, maybe Julio's gloves were the first to have the logo? I think most of the Nike gloves have the team logo on them now, and I thought it just started w/ the Combat Unis.

Julio did the hand thing, then the gloves came along.

Could have made one big A that you'd have to put your hands closer together to form. I was actually going to say the opposite, though... I prefer having an image on each palm so that you don't have to form your hands 'just so' to make it work.

When I see a player who gets it just right after a TD for the camera, I think, "That dude stood in front of a mirror to get his hands right. That's manly."

It works a little better with Oregon's "O" because you don't have to have our hands perfect. But I still like the single big logo.

I actually kinda like the way that collar looks. Wish they would do something for State.

I dunno. What did you check on google? I don't have any idea if Julio did it first. Don't know what he would have been showing off. Maybe Nike made gloves for him first. We're a Nike school and he was a super star, but I don't remember hearing anything about it.

I remember being at a game and he did it making an "A" with his hands basically and I think Ingram did it too after a touchdown. I saw a whole bunch of Oregon pics and Georgia pics and Bama pics with the gloves.
