2" lift on stock tires?

Would 2" lift coilovers up front (with TC UCA's) and 1.5" deaver rear lift look funny on stock 265/65R17 (31") tires? I think 285's (33") would probably rub somewhere not to mention sucking up fuel and killing power on 3.73 gears. 265/70R17 (32") tires might look better but is that 1" really going to fill out the wheel well that much better than a 31" tire?

Anyone have any pictures of 2" lift on stock tires?

 

I don't think it would look bad with the stock size. You'd be suprised what an appearance difference the 265/70/17s would make.

 

They will look a little small, plus the stock tires are pretty crappy anyway. If I where you I'd just upgrade to the 265/70s.

 

i just put a 2.5/1.5 on my 2002. the tires now look a little small. mine are 265/75R16.. im planning on getting 285/75R16 on some procomp wheels in the near future.
i would recommend getting something a tad bit larger. but not too big, you dont want to have to trim alot of body under the wheel and you might hit the body mount if you go too big with just a 2".

I can't seem to find pictures of 2" lift on 32's and 31's. Most seem to lift 3" and put on 33's.

 

Here is a pic of mine with a 3 inch lift and stock tires/wheels. It doesn't look too bad at all. It's not embarrassing at least. However, I am getting new wheels/tires mounted up today! 285/70/17's on some new 17x9 wheels! I would imagine that with less of a lift it would look just fine!

 

I was wondering the same for my 09 DC 4wd but I have the NON TRD and 245's on 16"s. Im going with 5100's all the way around, an AAL rear and the diff drop. If I do the lift I mentioned above will I be able to get my alignment in spec with stock rims and tires?

 

From what I've read, your caster will be off unless you get UCA's.

 

Thanks, I found some pictures of what I was looking for.

 

At 2.5" of lift the alignment should be able to be within spec. There is a slight caster spread but its minimal. Take it to a alignment shop that specializes in off road alignments and they can make it right. When you go to places like midas or pep boys for alignments- they have computer alignment machines that only have specs for stock vehicles, so being that the truck has a lift on it these stock specs wont apply...

 

i went to Mcleas ( up in rohnert park) and had an alignment done. The alignment was a "modified truck alignment" and cost me 125.. : /
but they did it by hand and its all lined up. i cant tell a differnece or any toe or off caster. they did a good job
im sure other places may charge cheaper..

 

I have the OME setup which is about 2" or 2-1/2" with the stock rims and 265/70R16 rugged trails. Here is a pic of mine not to bad. I would like a little wider tire but not any taller for the sake of fuel mileage. I commute alot on Hwy.

 

I see you are from Rohnert Park. is this in Norcal by Santa Rosa if so Im up by Ukiah.

 

The shop that did my alignment was able to get mine real good with the stock tires and wheels. I dont have any steering wander and it dont pull one way or the other. But I have been told that wider tires and offset wheels to the outside will magnify this problem.

This is with a ready lift 2.25", up front. No TSB.. I do have the tsb now
