that front spacer is 1/2"of lift, IIRC. it does make a difference. get a good alignment first, then go after the cutting.

Youre saying the 1/2" makes a difference? Should i buy the spacer kit to get the full 3" and go from there?

it does make a difference. if you do it, i would get it put on before the alignment gets done...but is it a necessity, no.

Hmm..now im debating if its worth the $70. I should probably get the cab mount chop anyways, i guess id get the spacers if the rubbing i have is serious enough.

I would get them, especially if you off road.

I still have stock tires on my OME lift with the top plate spacer. At first I didn't use the spacer, but after putting it in to level it out more you could definitely see the difference. I'd put in a 1/2 in spacer and get it aligned and if it still rubs try running 1.25" hub centric wheel spacers to push the tires out some more.

I don't know from personal experience but I'd consider cutting into my frame a last resort. If you know how to weld though.. go for it.

Yea im debating it right now. I could spend the money to buy the spacers, hav them installed then get it all aligned and it might work. Then again, i might still rub. Im not sure if i sure just save the money and have the cab mount chopped as is to be sure.

I think you have more rub then you should with those 285's. Get an alignment first and should help it out.

And you can do the cab mount chop yourself. Either buy a grinder or find someone with one and its very simple. As far as covering it back up with a plate its up to you. Many others have left it alone and been perfectly fine.

Just to be sure, is the place im rubbing in the back front well actual the cab mount? I feel like its the entire rear of the inner fender/body. I just want to make sure this is where i should do the chop.

Numbers look better, it does have a 50mph+ vibe really anymore. It still rubs the front inner fender a little, and it looks like its still rubbing the cab mount, but just barely. How does everything look guys? Still do the chop?

Does the cab mount chop just take this entire corner away?

Your probably like me, your not actually hitting your cab mount until you wheel. I actually rub on the front inner fender section during daily driving (most evident when I back up) but when I wheel and flex I get this horrific noise because I am hitting my cab mount HARD... Mine will be cut by Avid Offroad here in 2 weeks when I get my sliders welded on.
