Ohh but it has a "heated washer fluid unit"!

    why?

On another note, my truck is eating at my wallet again.

I have a stain on the rear seats that I need to clean off (isn't very visible, but needs some attention), so I decided it's past time to finally get seat covers. Went with the Coverking through Costco. Spendy, but I've had cheap covers in the Honda and hated it.

Next I jumped over and bought a Cobra 19 to replace my busted Midland. I found out that the Metra dash kits have a smaller pocket than the Scoshe dash kits, so I'm going to need a new dash kit, too

I get done with work, jump in the truck, and notice that I'm only getting audio out of my front left speaker  At least it's not an amp. I've wanted a better HU... but wasn't going to do it NOW!

Silence is better than stock :p

Well, I'm going to try the reset button on the HU first, but if that fails, there's some things I want the new unit to do.

    Musts
-easy iPod control with pretty quick searching
-front/sub preouts at 4V or better
-DIN-1. I need a place for that new CB, lol

    Nice-to-haves
    -bluetooth
    -pandora controls
    -i prefer rear USB

    I've got the following contenders:

Pioneer MVH-P8300BT bluetooth, pandora. Not sure what I think about the 3" screen that plays divx, seems useless. Negs are front USB only and I need a PAC SWI steering wheel adapter
Pioneer DEH-P8300UB Pandora. Negs are front USB only, display is blue, and I need a PAC SWI steering wheel adapter
Kenwood KDC-X995 bluetooth, pandora, HD radio
JVC KD-A925BT. Front and rear USB, pandora, 5V preouts (all those others are 4V)

I'm thinking the Kenwood and JVC are contenders. My gut says the Kenwood will win out, but that JVC seems to have good offerings. I didn't think JVC was on par in the past, probably due to being fed misinformation, but I'm interested in giving them a new look.

Why you not giving Alpine any love? I've had multiple Alpines in my history of vehicles and one JVC. I would much prefer the Alpine. I have also witnessed systems of other brand in friends rigs - still want my Alpines.

Jason, with your Toytec kit, do you ever regret not getting the new full leaf pack in the rear? Do you have TSB springs already?

I saw a chick in the same exact color/tires as her taco yesterday on the off ramp for hwy99 sb and went 99e the same way I did! She didn't look over once though and her truck was higher than mine :/ so I'm assuming she had the full 3". I was getting a mouse for my lizard at the reptile store..

Gold is in one hell of a bubble right now. Real late in the curve to safely invest, unless our economy and/or the world's collapses. In that case lead is a much better investment because people will give you gold just so you don't give them lead ;):D

These trucks are a pure expense lol. Not an investment at all.
