    TPR, I totally argee with you. How hard is it to upgrade engine and trans. In the 4runner plant, when they put in the engine, just move it out of the way and put the tacoma in and insert engine. Damn you Toyota!!!

    I've managed to add some bug guts to the front
    Cleveland, Tennessee is about 1.5 hours north of Atlanta, Georgia and a little less than 1.5 hours south of Knoxville, Tennessee. Toyota of Cleveland basically told me that the 4x4 Tacomas wouldn't be at their dealership until November. Of course, they might have just told me that so I wouldn't cancel the 2011 Tacoma that's still "in transport".

    I think I will start a thread on TW about this issue to spark some interest. Im sure alot of people who havent looked at this thread in the last few minutes wont ever get the message to do it otherwise, plus it will get lost in this 76 page thread if we change a bit of discussion since the thread seems to keep growing.

    I don't care for the styling. It's my opinion that it would be pretty tuff to beat how the 2nd Gens look. However, just like everyone else I am very curious how the interior and the guts of this new model differ from the 2nd Gens. I can't find the web article but I did read something that said they're planning on using the same frame and power-plants as the current models. But hopefully that was just speculation.

    They won't, and why worry about it? 70% of your stopping power comes from the front anyway. People need to stop worrying about discs all round. IMO...

    From what we have all heard the guts will be the same as the '11. The interior is getting an update but no one has been able to take a damn picture yet.

    yea but disc brakes are hell of alot easier to change than drums.

    I've already left a few posts on their page. They have responded with " we will send your idea to our product design and engineering team." like I'm the only person who ever thought of putting the newer engine in tacoma. On facebook search for .

    Yep that's true. But how many times will you change them over the life of the truck? The pads one the front are INSANELY thick. So I'm guessing maybe just a few times. ;)

    Their not bothering to put the dual VVTi in the 2012 because after 2014 V6s will no longer be available.What you get after that is a standard equipment 4 cly. and a premium turbo 4 cly.Just my opinion. Total redesign 2014 or 2015
