Nice should look good with the new glass matt!

Are you going to be sticking with the Deaver's for now or switching them out to 50T for a more level ride?!

    dom!

    dom flexs more then 4130.

i was reading on race dezert where dom is better than 4130 because if your in a crash, the dom will flex more, while the 4130 might crack instead

The frame is mild I rather bend a bumper than my frame.

Cromo is overkill that is unless you have it tied into a cage then it makes sense

I thought for sure you were going to come out telling him to go with USA HREW lol

Chrome moly for sure, for the minimal price increase you may as well go with the lighter/stronger material considering that you will be using the truck more as a crawler than a desert truck. Honestly in my humble opinion if your going hard enough to bend a frame or even a built tube bumper for that matter you should have a full cage and in the event that you do come down hard enough in the right position to smash that bumper its pretty likely that frame damage will be the lease of your worries....

to an extent. if you build your frame horns right and plate the frame with 1/8th at all points connecting the tube work to the frame, DOM is more than fine. the DOM will take the load and bend instead of twisting or warping the frame. it is all in how it is tied into the truck.

on the other hand, with the mention of a cage, i do 100% agree. im still that stubborn asshole that believes that if you are going into the desert or mountains with the intention of wheeling, you need a cage. period. too many "what if" moments happen out there to not make yourself as safe as possible. that is why i still stand behind my post of anyone with a linked truck and no cage is a fool.

Im willing to bet that the tubed 2" .120 wall chromo horns on my bumper are just as strong if not stronger than almost every boxed mild steel horns on here

you are spot and i agree completely on but keep in mind that most people that simply cannot afford the cost of a cage or the downtime associated with its construction. Its all about knowing your truck well and its limits and what is safe and what isn't. Someone can still go out and enjoy the dez in an uncaged vehicle but they just need to know that their truck will always want to go faster than they should drive it. Personally, I wont take my truck up anywhere near what its fully capable of for this exact reason and until I have the time to finish the build I am content with taking it a little easier and not putting my truck on its lid.
