I dunno, all the bull bars I have seen are really really weak... but the one you linked says heavy duty, so... I have no idea.

I have an AVID on my truck, and I can stand on that thing, really strong.

Just save up a little bit more, be patient and get the avid bar! Quality product and actually gives more bumper protection.

Your better off saving your money to get the Avid bar. Its way strong and looks amazing on the Tacomas. I have one on my Tacoma, it definitely separates it from the rest of the Tacomas around me.

Save up until you have a job.
If you dont have one, and only have 220, I'm assuming that's like birthday money and whatnot...You'd be better off saving up for something else then blowing it all on a bull bar

What is your main reason for wanting a bull bar?

If you like the looks then by all means go for it..this is your truck..but if you are wanting it to put lights on, Id suggest taking your time and really looking at ALL your options.

I used to have a bull bar on my truck. Granted I wasnt a very active member at that time and was unable to see what all else is out there. So when I saw everything that was out there I wanted to do nothing but get my bull bar off. Luckily I was able to sell my bull bar and get most of my money back.

But when it really comes down to it..THIS IS YOUR TRUCK. do with it as you please

    just my .02

    Edit:
Dont get something just because its the only thing you can afford now. Save your money. Get you a job, and in the end. You will be SO much happier when you get what you REALLY wanted with your own hard earned money.

Again if you REALLY want this bar..get it. and dont let anybody tell you different.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Carbon steel is fine but I'm sure it's made from the weakest & thinnest steel available I would wait and save your money.

Everyone's pretty much saying the same thing. I used to be in the same position you are (I'm only a year older), but I waited until I could pay...And look how my truck turned out! :D

If you want something cheap, spend the money. If you want something good, save the money. Oh and don't spend it as you get it.

And get one thing at a time...if you have 220 bucks right now, and you spend 133 bucks, you have jack left over for rims..not to mention if you get 20's you'll need some tires too..

    SAVE YO MUNNNY! Ha
