So I brought my 2011 SR5 Taco in to Toyota yesterday for a "Harsh" ride and this is what they said they were going to do

    rear assembly spring (both sides)
    alignment
    front Toe-in
    Front Camber
    Front Caster

Not being huge into the mechanical aspect of things (go easy I am learning slowly) will this affect the height of my truck at all? If so how much and how much to add new shocks and the works to give myself a 3'' lift? Any help would be appreciated I am still a green horn and just started doing minor mods to Miranda (my trucks name)

it felt weighed down and not leterally "bottoming" out but that kind of feeling.... Essentially I want to lift it and am wondering if any of what the dealership is going to do will aid that process

ya I believe they said upgrade the springs or replace I cannot remember which one... There definately was no mention of shocks or anything tho. Thats why I am curious to see if it will affect the height of the truck or not

If they are doing alignment then they may be swapping base shocks to yellow bilsteins...if OP doesn't already have them.

On the 11 they will not replace the shocks. Shocks are fine. And if they do replace the springs you may get 1.5 or 2 inch of lift.

The Camber and toe-in stuff have to do with the tilt/angle of the front wheels and is adjusted during alignment. They're most likely addressing the TSB that toyota issued for the Tacomas and will replace the rear leaf springs with a 4 pack. Since they're replacing the springs, they'll have to do the alignment as well.

Spring replacement is 3 leaf pack out back for a 4 leaf pack............which should have been coming on these trucks since 2005.
