    not a Toyota there is no blower available to my knowledge for any Toyota that can put out more than 13.5 psi ,, i thought this was a tacoma site :confused:

    XRs are Tacomas, if that is what you are referring to. Mine certainly is. The urd stage 3 kit can. Just isn't anybody with a built motor that has one.

    Rotrex....not PC. Centrifugal SC. Centrifugal, not positive displacement, so your half right.

    ProCharger is just a brand name. Point is though that there is still a s/c kit available that will.

    If we all agree on the same reference point that a s/c is driven belt a belt off of the crank, no matter which type it is.

    Not exactly sure what you mean, but this is what I am using for tuning my truck.

    Dont let anyone convince you of generalizations about SC for bigger or Turbo for smaller engines... Both can be used for either big or small applications.

    Do a little research and learn how each operates.. You can buy a big charger and use a small pulley and make tons of boost, or a big turbo (compressor and turbine) and make tons of boost also... There are lots of variables.

    USUALLY... (not always) Superchargers make a more even power curve and are limited by the engines own RPM matched to a pulley size. They do have some parasitic losses due to running on belts connected to the engines crank.

    On the flip side turbo(s) can potentially move lots more air due to piggybacking multiple turbos and having different size options on compressors and turbines. Turbos run on the energy stored in moving exhaust gases and provide "free" power.

    Both will be pretty expensive to setup, and will require engine management of some sort, and fuel and exhaust upgrades.

    I've been looking into SC vs Turbo for some time now.. Im saving money while I try to decide which to go with.

    Do you think a different intake manifold arrangement would be beneficial?

    Check out HorsePowerFreaks online. . they tune and build BMWs.

    I say this because those are quick cars to begin with and they decided the stock intake manifolds were holding them back from 1000hp. They designed a totally different one in CAD and they look sweet and run sweet!!

    Just a thought.

    I know it is holding me back. I am just waiting to see a couple that some people are building and then I will decided if which to go with. It will be stronger, have more volume, and flow better.

    Which pipe routing? Intake or exhaust? I assume the exhaust.
