I haven't read through all of this thread, but I have a few questions about the skid plate if you'd be willing to humor me?

So sort of in continuation of my last trip report I headed up to LaBarge this week to try Bridger from that access.

Got a lot farther but still can't get all the way in. We made it to just past Clear Creek. It looks like mid July the snow should be clear up to that point. Might be late July though. Which suits me fine, I probably won't be able to make it back up there until then.

Took LaBarge creek road, just south of LaBarge, and headed west towards Greys River road, and the tri basin divide.

We had ALMOST made it to the top when we encountered a pretty deep snow drift. I managed to get through on the side of it where the snow was shallow and used the winch line in case my truck slide down the bank. On the other side we hit a few more snow drifts and then turned around. On the way back through I got a little more on the edge than I wanted to and the rear started sliding towards the berm and the water below and so I ended up using my new fiberglass grating to create a more stable base and used the winch again and drove back across after getting sideways a bit.

I'm thrilled I bought these fiberglass waffle boards, I also used them when I stuck the truck straight in the drift and had her sitting on the skids, spinning all four 35s. Used the hi-lift and just placed them right under the tires. Backed out effortlessly. If they make extraction easier/quicker/safer it's worth the money.

Other than that we found some cool USFS cabins and lots of water.

Those are actual BFGs. I had intended to go with the treadwright m/ts but couldn't get em soon enough.

They were linked on TTORA robert. Some guy through ebay. I'll get a link later.

    Sorry, totally missed this.

Still happy with the 35s, should have gone with MTs or duratracs again though :/. The BFG ATs are alright but I know I would have been happier with the others. Thanks man. I do feel pretty lucky.

Well in preparation for this weekend's run with the Utah guys I decided I better paint the bars of rust that are my sliders so my truck doesn't look like shit. The rustoleum/duplicolor/krylon flat black that I've tried doesn't hold up worth a shit so I'm trying the hammered finish stuff and I laid it on thick. 1 can per slider. We'll see how it holds up. The primer/semi-gloss rustoleum black paint on my rear bumper didn't fair too well either. Had to repaint that as well. Need a better solution. Don't know that I want the hammered finish on the bumper. Might just have to get mudflaps on the rear.

I used it for my flares and it seems to be holding up well so I might do that when I get back to Reno. I don't think the paint on my bumper will last long.

Hammered finish paint lasted two weeks. Heard that appliance enamel paint works well. Might give it a shot before I try the bed liner.

I went crazy and rhino lined my sliders.

    ....

I'd like to take a look at your relentless bumper sometime. I'm in the market for a rear plate bumper. It'd be nice to see some of their work.

Sorry Joel, missed this post, I wish I could have shown it to ya. Unfortunately I missed ya, and I'm back in Reno now. All I can say is that Eric's work is top notch. I'm very satisfied, but the wait sucks.

The latest deal with my truck... Nitro 4.56 gears from Chase at ECGS.

Getting ready to run the Rubicon.
