So I was on the highway the other day and noticed for the 2,343,982nd time a biker giving another biker the "wave". Boaters have this "wave" as well. I was thinking that since there are so F-ing many of us 2nd Gen taco owner's out there that maybe we should have a "wave" too damn it! Maybe a quick flash of the lights or something? Open to ideas... But it would be something of our own... TW style... What do you think?

Oh, and yes, im aware of the implications that may come from flashing your lights in some states, but were rebels right?

Yeah, we've brought this up before. I've tried it in the Lake Asbury/Jacksonville area and people just look at ya like "Who the Hell are you waving at me for"! I'll still wave if I see a Kickass Tacoma.

Well we dont have to wave persay, but flash the fogs or something... I'm proud of the financial sacrifice i made for my truck. And i think it looks damn good. Much better than all the other non taco's out there. Guys from work are still asking me to take a test drive with them in mine... Maybe my head is a little bloated. I blame TW... lol

I usually wave with one finger. That's how we do it in Jersey, yo.

I wave at the Taco owners around here and get blank stares back...kinda sucks. Bikers get it...Jeepers get it...Boaters get it...not everyone else does.

Tried it in DFW area, Texas. Blank stares is about all I get. I know they are here but I do not see many Tocoma's around here customized or modified. There are a lot of them, mostly Pre-runners. Dead stock. :)

I've got a Jeep and a bike, so I know the wave thing. Blank stares here too if they notice at all.

Maybe we could just make it a TW thing. Like a secret handshake. Wave your middle finger and the ones on either side to make a "W" To the uninitiated, it would just look like you were flipping them off, and they's probably "wave" back. LOL!

    Kidding.

    Sort of.

I was buying gas today and a real nice lifted Tacoma was at the other pump. I nodded to him and he completely ignored me:confused: My truck is stock, but gee...

That sucks. I'd be happy to talk Tacoma with another Tacoma driver. Or anyone for that matter! :D

I would too. I know the guy saw the TacomaWorld sticker on my truck too. I generally get into conversations easily but I guess the guy was in a hurry or something.

Actually, not all Jeep drivers do the wave--"new" Jeeps don't tend to wave. Mostly its the CJs, YJs and TJs, (who have also been labled as "stuck up" for not waving to "other" Jeeps) Older Jeeps (the aformentioned) often refuse to wave to JKs or Liberties because they are not "real." I'm not saying that I'm like that, but the ones who wave back are usually the older model Jeeps. There's a whole heirarchy that's very confusing. Bikers pretty much just wave back to all bikers, but there are exceptions there too.

I do it here in Michigan and get the wave back, but then again there are only about 5 other Taco owners here.

Corvettes wave also. I have a Jeep and a Corvette so I'm aware of the *wave*.

Unfortunately, I tried waving at other tacomas and I never get waves back.

There aren't a lot of tacomas out this way...atleast, not that I see when I'm out and about.

I'm a former Jeeper and Biker and I always enjoyed the wave.If I see another Taco owner looking my way,it indicates to me that they are into the trucks and I'll wave. Most times it elicits a surprised yet happy wave back.
