Bilsteins lift?

I just bought the bilsteins 5100's for all four corners for my stock '05 Tacoma
Just curious what's the best height to put them at without having other issues with wearing out parts and alignment issues. Probably discussed before but I'm too lazy to search lol. Btw I'm running 265/70-17

only the front's provide lift, so if you want to level out the truck set them at the middle setting-

but that's only if you want a level truck. otherwise, leave them at 0

 

You're right, this has been covered many times... As mentioned above, only the fronts provide lift. You can set them where ever you want. At the highest setting you might need new UCA's to keep your alignment within spec. Other than that, measure the difference between the hub and the fender as it sits stock, then decide how much higher you want the front to sit. If you're not too lazy to measure that is...

 

I plan on doing the aal to the back. They said they will adjust the back to what ever height I choose to do the front. I'd like a bit of height but don't want to get into replacing other parts that will wear out prematurely

 

I'd stick with 1.75". I did that, got the rear TSB and now the rear is about 1" higher. I love it. I originally thought 2" wouldn't make much of a difference but it looks and feels differently. It's a great modest lift.

 

Anytime you lift a vehicle you run the risk of things wearing prematurely or vibrating, etc. If you want it to run, ride and wear like a stock vehicle, leave it stock. Ok, don't with the disclaimer, 1.75 and under for the fronts shouldn't give you any issues. Some people are fine even at the 2.5 setting but if you're playing it safe, lower is better.

 

I put 5100's front and rear. front @1.75 and rear spring tsb. No problems with alignment and road great. The pics are before and after. I have since added eibachs, 3/4" spacer driver/s and 1/2 passenger/s. Great combo!

 

I think ill go with the 1.75" lift I just hope my tires are big enough
