If you want to get an idea of what happened to the TW culture, all you have to do is scroll back through the old posts. You will find that everyone in here was way more nice to each other..there was a kind of brotherhood. That went away when TW really started taking off numberwise. I see a lot of folks who were around then don't even come in here anymore. They just faded away, which I am sure a lot of you here would like me to do-at least that's the way I feel. I feel that way largely because I don't fit in anywhere here anymore because my truck is 10 years old now and I am 50, which has been deemed as "really old":( by the majority of the yakkers out here. I can still have brief little conversations with some remaining cool folks in here once in a while and truck stuff keeps me coming in here. I just don't like how the culture of TW got clikky and moved us older members aside.

:(That's a shame. I wasn't around then so I can't be empathetic but I think I have the basic concept. As for you being older and having an older truck, ignore the douchecanoes who deserved to be smacked upside the head and IMO the 1st gen has a superior design and is a compact truck which I didn't really need full size. 2nd gen is close to fullsize, still a cool truck but not as good IMO.

    Though I don't think it's clique-y (yet)

I remember when I first started trolling here (Before membership) there were a lot of members that were very active..and have faded away. It seems everyone's more jumpy now.
Theres still a lot of good people here though

You're not old! my parents are older :D

Erm, yeah, while I see how things can be "clique-y", the few folks I know in TW in my less-than-a-year of being here are pretty darn accepting. There's been a few that stick solid to their opinions and don't sway to the point of annoyance, but Bob & the mods have been good at weeding those folks out when cause is given.

As far as your truck being 10 years old, everyone loves those!! 1st gens have a huge following, and even older trucks have universal love. Again, I haven't been a part of this site for as long as you, but that's just how I've seen things.

You're 50. Okay. Can't say I'm far behind you, but why should that matter? I'm working with a 52 year-old right now who runs circles around his co-workers half his age. Literally. It's awesome! There's now a 50+ thread where maybe you could feel a bond on another level with like-minded members. I don't know, but it's up to you.

Anyway, good to have met you, and visit more often!

Things happen so fast in this thread I missed your post! Thanks man:) I appreciate the fast answer. I know I shouldn't have posted like this but I can't seem to get over it. But I know this is just the way it goes and the OP, as brand new as he is, picked up on the core reason-what you said..the douches with the smart stuff always running. It's like being all-inclusive and showing that old common thread of brotherhood has become the exact wrong thing to do anymore and being all fukkyfukky towards each other and always saying "you jelly" or "you mad bro" to each other and constantly putting up that antagonistic cartoonyface with it is the "normal" thing now. If you ask me, that coldblooded crap is driving this place down.

I don't disagree, but people need to use the search bar, use common sense, and read the sticky threads. There are reasons they are there. If you ask me, the idiocracy is driving this place down. Does it give certain members an excuse to be rude? Not at all, once they cross that line they should be banned. Do certain people need to use basic functions, logic, and get a little thicker skin to jokes? Yes. There needs to be some basic give and take around here and problems won't be had.

Thanks for saying that there are a bunch of us in this place around my age and older who aint a part of nothing in here except the "50+-60+"type threads and a lot of why that is, is we don't get the whole "you jelly" crowd. I really wish they didn't drag that interwebz teenie stuff into such a great truck forum. Unfortunately the dumbest crap often becomes all the rage.
Far as my truck I only meant that since I'm not doing a "build" or mods because it's perfect now, there's nothing left to report on.
I wish my oldtime fellow members in here didn't get run off the way they did:( I miss just talking in here.

I'm guilty of using meme faces. but only for humor! I promise. :D

Theres still plenty of good members to chat with runner! Members like you are what this site needs to get input from people with experience, not just those who like to talk out of their ass. Who are mature enough to actually answer a question rather than attack the OP because of their "inferiority"!

There's still a lot of good potential here for you !

Btw. My truck's 11 years old.
