Got this taco used a few days ago and today I noticed that it puts out a faint but annoying high-pitch vibration when at idle. If I push the clutch pedal in the slightest bit it stops. Anyone had this problem?

Clutch slave cylinder pin probably needs lube on both sides.

The clutch fork sticks out of the transmission. There should be a hydraulic cylinder (sometimes painted blue, black, or red) and it has a rubber boot on it. Push the fork back and pull the rod and boot clear off of the cylinder. Use care so you don't tear the boot. The rod needs moly grease on both ends. The end inside of the boot and the end that touches the fork. If that doesn't work, I would replace the whole slave. That is what I am doing. I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

It is extremely annoying. Mine also makes that noise when coasting with my foot off of the gas pedal. Like going down hill.

Mine did the same thing. I found out that it was the throwout bearing was bad so I had it replaced and haven't heard it since. It is a big problem with manual transmission on the tacoma. Sorry if it is the same thing cause its not cheap.

Does it cause any other problems other than the noise? I can only faintly hear it if I have the radio off and I can live with it without spending a few bills...However if it is going to develop into a bigger problem I will definetely get it fixed.
