Toyota, after making trucks for as long as they have can't do just one thing right. All I'm looking for is 4 strips of metal held together with a bolt thru the middle and bushings on the end, that don't make my truck sound like a 42' model with a million miles on it. Is that to much to ask for? I've had Ford's, Chevy's and never encountered this problem. But really, how do you get it to go away? Any suggestions?

Take it to the car wash (high pressure washer) and spray out inbetween the leafs really good. The noise will go away immediately because of the water....It's when the water dries out is when you'll know if it helped or not.

what year is your truck?? there was a tsb for the squeaky springs. basically tho.............pack the openings full of grease....that'll make the squeaks go away. and you may get a few squeaks here and there................but when that ford or chevy is pushing up daisies....the toyota will still be shittin and gittin!:D

Yep, that's them. Alot of people always complement Toyota trucks, but when I get out of my truck they always get this funny look on their faces when it goes to squeaking.

Which TSB? I will take it if I can print it off. I was up there the other day and the service mgr. acted like he didn't know what I was talking about.

Thats cause they are lazy and don't want to do the work. Trust me, the benefits FAR outweigh the hassel of some pissed off service manager. You will love your truck like no other afterwards.

    This should work. T-SB-0305-08.pdf

Question: I've probably 5 different answers but how much does the TSB lift the rear over stock? I'm going to see about leveling the front at the same time so I can get it all aligned at the same time.

I think I'm finally going to take the plunge. This thing has bottomed out on me too much lately. I have to ride down a dirt road filled with potholes 5 days a week to the day care (it's a newly built area; will be paved sometime this year) and it bottoms out routinely over a couple of them while going 10mph. Ridiculous. Also, it bottomed out a few times on a 570 mile trip down I95 from NJ last June with about 400lbs in the back. So, I think I'll make the call this week.

if i remember correctly, it lifted my 06 in the rear by about 2 inches or so, and when it settled a bit, it only settled by about half an inch. if you get the tsb done, get some billy 5100's and set them at 1.75..........then when the springs settle a bit, you should be pretty close to perfectly level.:)
