Whats your thoughts on the HST Referendum?

Personally, being employed by a small business, i think it was a bad idea to throw out the HST. The small businesses will be the most effected by this change. I think lots of jobs will be lost.

Im really frustrated by the fact that their wasnt enough "explanation" when it was introduced. That was the major failure to the HST.

Reversal is projected to cost the province 3.8 billion dollars and we stay at 12% instead of dropping to 10% .

How could anybody vote to pay more ?

    Harmonized Sales Tax

It combines the federal and provincial sales taxes into one .

How could anyone in their right minds want to revert back to GST / PST and have to cough up 3 billion ?

The retards figured they were sticking it to the man and giving Gordon Campbell the finger without thinking about who really pays BC's bills .

Apparently we prefer our $20 restaurant bills rather than $23.

Well , IDK about how right it was .

The Liberals campaingned and got elected on a platform to NOT introduce the HST and changed their tune once in office .

My point is that the stupid thing was in place and it will cost more to remove it , let alone the fact that the HST was set to drop to 10 %
