    Thanks kpt,

If my primary goal is to level my TRD pre runner would I only put 5100's on the front and what should they be set at? With the rims I previously mentioned what would be the largest tire I could run without rubbing and no trimming?

0.85" will get you pretty level. 1,75" will put you slightly nose-high.

    You could run 265/70/17's

KPT you have been very helpful. One last thing. Will the 17X8 rims with 4.5 offset push my tires out further than the current stock TRD rims?

You will need a wheel with 4.5" backspacing, and you will need to trim...a lot....

hey everyone! new to the forum, just got into the market for a truck and went with the 4DR V6 Tacoma. it's awesome! it has the 245/75/R16 and they feel pretty good. Wanted to ask if the 265 or even the 285/75/R16s effect gas mileage?? new to modifying any tires so I just wanted to ask! TACOS KICK A**!

    Thank so much!

Yes, any time you increase the contact patch, there will be more rolling resistance, leading to poorer mileage.

Hello everyone I just bought me a 2005 tacoma access cab 2wd 4cyl auto. I dont really like the stock wheels that are on it. I have been looking at dick cepek wheels. what size rim do you recommend and whats the biggest tire i can fit with out causing problems or a drastic decrease in gas mileage. Rim size isnt really important to me just performance.

Ok, I have a 2007 dbcb longbed sport 4x4 with a rack and a shell. I put 275/70/17's on my stock set up and the only issue i had was some rub on the front mud flap plastic when the wheel was locked and compressed at the same time like going into a driveway. I took off the front flaps but I suspect that it may have as much to do with the fact that my stock springs and shocks are tired with 75,000 miles on it.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic

I just put these on (265 75) and their perfect with a stock suspension. Do u think they would look to small with a 3 inch lift?

    Double Cab TRD OR SR5
    Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum and to the Tacoma world. I just bought a 2006 Double Cab with the TRD Off-Road package. I really like this truck. I never owned anything with "off-road" capabilities. I need to replace the tires and want to keep the same size 265/70/16. I wanted to now about lifting the truck: what is a good amount to lift it, what parts are involved and how much does it cost?
Thanks in advance for your reply.

32's is the biggest you can go on stock suspension
