WD-40 Million uses, what do you use it for?

WD-40... awesome stuff, but besides the lubricating what have you used it for, or what have you used it on

 

i use it occasionally as a tool cleaner, and to get electrical tape residue or cecal glue off stuff.

Yea that was a good idea, but the can got smaller i liked the really big can the tall one and they dont make those anymore or i havent seen them selling it here. I just buy the gallon and use a spray bottle

 

I've sprayed it on fishing lures. It masks human scent and attracts fish.

 

If I happen to run out of KY...

 

To get dried spray on sunscreen overspray from tourists off my paint. Works like a charm

 

This is interesting... never heard of that before.

 

Used it this afternoon to lubricate a stubborn electrical wiring fish tape...

 

X2. In fact I believe one of the major ingredients of wd40 is fish oil.

 

Do you guys know the meaning behind WD-40? found it on there web site it means "Water displacement 40th try" cool to know shit after all we ALL use it

 

It was developed for aerospace uses to keep water out of sensitive areas...I keep a can in the shop, but it doesn't get that much use, since I have dozens of lubricants to choose from.

I heard it was developed durring WWII to be a quick lube where you don't want heavy grease, like a machine gun on an Island in the Pacific, old history teacher gave me that tid bit of information. Could be wrong, who Knows? But he did say it was the 40th attemp though. Get's water out of a cap and rotor(WHATS THAT?) Only down fall I can see, and I love the stuff, it doesn't have staying power. Needs to re applied to any surface to work well.
