Just wanted to alert everyone that still has there factory grill not to use "Goof Off" on it. I tested every other part of the truck I used it on but got lazy and didn't test here. Sure enough it bleached it out. Not a big deal as I can just paint it but still I'm not happy.

Goof Off is definitely no bullshit.

Goo Gone works almost as well for most things and it won't do much damage to anything - I still wash/wax the spots right away, though.

I was debating between Goof Off and Goo Gone. The Goo Gone said "citrus powered" and I thought "weak". The goof off said "professional strength". Guess I got what I wanted.

I'm actually very surprised it didn't damage the other parts of the truck you tested it on. That stuff is the real deal.

    What was on your grill?

I've used Avon's Skin so Soft for stubborn bug guts or road tar.

I figured you didn't, I had just never heard of using it to remove junk off of cars.

My girlfriend has some of that stuff I think, I may have to give it a try come Love Bug season. :D

No that's the weird thing. I sprayed it on and let it sit for about 5 seconds and wiped it off. That stuff is more or less instant. I guess it just cuts whatever it touches.

That's amazing! It's almost the ideal product too, given that there is no way it could harm the paint since it can be used daily on your skin; for whatever purpose you choose...

Thanks for posting this - +1 for you.

I've used that before, it works great and it's a great way to get the girlfriend back for stealing my razors

It's also very useful to removing stickers, oddly enough, so is baby oil.
