5100 vs 5125 vs 5150

    Looking for some rear shock experiences. I wanna hear from folks who have run two or more of the different billy's. Can u guys actually feel a difference between them? I will be picking up a set when I return from my upcoming deployment. Thanks TW.

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    Most differences are the length, and the resi. the 5150 has the resi, while the 5125 is the same as the 5100, just availible in different lengths. They are all valved at the same 255/140 (Rebound/compression)

    Not trying to thread jack.. but if I was going with the 5100s w/ Eibachs up front.. would it make a difference to have 5150s in the rear instead of the 5100s. Thanks!

    The ride will be like the other bilstiens, but it will not heat up as fast.

    running 5150s here. And the shortest you can get them in is 8.5'' travel which will accommodate up to a 3'' lift. After that, you have to get the 10'' ones. 5125s come in much for sizes the then 5150s too.

    Bumping an old thread with a new question, which I think Chris answered but want to make sure...

    The 5150s come in 6.5" and 8.5" of travel. If I am running a stock leaf pack without the TSB, can I run these shocks?

    Just go with the bilstein 5160 there new and I've heard good things about them. They cost around 400 bucks

    haha yea..well the 5100/5125s/5150s are the same really. Just different lengths and a res.

    i bet the 5160s maybe are remote res? or custom valving??

    im also curious about the shock upgrade, im running a 6 inch lift tho. i have no idea what length i would need but i am looking for some new shocks i dont like the pro comp rear shocks. what is the length i need ?

    Ahhh okay. Well i don't see a ton of point in a remote res on the rear..everyone i see that has em just attaches em to the shock anyways which totally defeats the point of em haha
