actually you can fit 285/70/17 on a stock height truck with stock sport rims like i did. and barely have any plastic rubbing.

 

You certainly did not fit 34's (285/75/17) on a stock truck.

And you are the only one on here who has ever put 285/70/17 on a stock truck and claimed no rubbing, so it isn't prudent to say "you can fit it", when only 0.5% of cases have shown that to be true.
