Hey all, thought I'd introduce myself formally with a shot of my baby. Still a work in progress... Next week I am taking the Fox coils up 2.75" and adding 1.5" rear blocks. Should look real nice. The tires are 285/75 17's and they just barely rub the wheel wells. I also had to space out the front wheels because the tires rubbed the upper control arms, which after inspection I realized they are stamped steel and probably should be replaced soon.

I opted to powder coat the stock wheels, it was economical and I didn't like the narrow choices I had at my local shops. Mountain towns are notorious for having crummy selection.

I have several questions, I am going to search the forum for answers but figured I'd lay them out here as well.

Does anyone know of a bed light that can be adapted to the 05-08 tacoma? Like a new unit that replaces the brake light and would include a clear LED to see what the hell is in my bed at night? Can't believe this was an oversight from Toyota... I would like a nice clean switch on my dash for it. Has anyone upgraded a bed lamp to their truck?

My other question: Where are people placing their amp? The amp I bought is just a little tall to fit under the seat, but I am considering raising the passenger seat to accommodate. Suggestions?

Great information here, thanks for looking-
    Chimp

Thanks for the kudos- The powder coat color is mirror black. It really shines.

FYI- I powder coated the skid plate mirror back as well, but there were some issues with the material. The powder coater said because it was porous the finish came out a little wrinkly. If you are thinking of doing this, it might be better to go with a wrinkle powder coat or similar with texture because your going to get it anyways...

I think it will start to look cool when the scratches show through in silver, it will wear in nicely.
