Thanks man. I have the standard Allpro 3" springs right now. They do alright I get around 14" of travel. I want to get the baja pack or a used set of deaver's but I'm gonna need to find one hell of a deal or get a better job to buy some. I'm not sure what model deavers to look for either.

    Hey Mike,

For Deavers, depending on how much lift you want you'll either want the F55 of F67. The F55's are 61.5" with ~1" of lift. The F67's are 61.5" with ~3" of lift. The AP Baja pack would be the rough equivalent of the F67's which is what most LT peeps are using. If you want something longer, you might want to call Geoff at Giant and see if he'll sell you just the 64" custom Deaver he supplies with his kit (or just buy the whole kit...it's a damn nice kit).

I'm on a tight budget so even though the giant kit would be sweet.... I'm leaning towards some deaver f67's. I've seen them on race dezert and dezert rangers a lot... I just need to buy some

well... the f55's and 67's were designed to be used w/ either a 9 or 12" shackle mounted through or above the frame on the 1st gen tacomas

since the 2nd gens run the shackle to the side of the frame and require different type of shackles and front hangers than the older 1st gen stuff it'll take some work to get F67's to mount up...

dont waste your time w/ the F55's...

building the rear end and working on a budget dont reall go together..lol

best bang for buck kit is the defined eng. SUA kit. check it out:)

yeah tell me about it ha. I'm working at a shop so I get hooked up on parts. A lot of which I've built myself to save money. I have the cage shocks and shackles already I just need some springs and bumps and I'll be pretty much set. The front hangers I'll get from total chaos. I wanted to get it all done before pismo but its looking like il still have the allpro springs on there. Whatever though it still does a lot better then last year. If anyone sees some f67 for sale they should let me know :D

Its pretty basic, its the first cage I've built. I wanted to keep the shocks outside the frame rails and save most of the bed space. I went off of the giant cage and a couple others I've seen.
