But you have upgraded suspension and larger more aggressive tires.

Yeah no shit..same here! I filled up the other day and I got to about 90-92 miles and my gas tank was at 3/4 tank..I think that's the best I've had so far. I usually have half a tank around 130 - 140 miles

    I am happy with that.

I would be ok pushing my truck into a trail right now, if I had a set of sliders and ATs on it. The tires I have on it now would not last

Yea its intense. Helped build it with Deschutes County 4wheelers last summer when it opened. Haven't gotten back out there this summer, but I hear they toned it down a few sections. So many tight, off camber sections. I was able to do the upper half, but not the lower. Had some major pucker factor kick in even doing just the "tame" part of the trail.

Here's a few of the pics I got from it:

Yeah, that looked very technical. Those were some built rigs that were with you

Since it is summer, the terrain is going to be dry for just about anywhere we go, which makes things much easier.
Brown's camp has some decent ability to scale with the driver experience. I ran stock my first time out - Rugged Trail tires and all - in November after a good rain. I did fine, not so much as a pinstripe.

One of our regulars did the June meet running a spacer lift with low profile tires on... 18" rims? He followed us just about everywhere and did a damn fine job.

My experience has been that having poor tires just means you need to pick a better path and utilize 4WD a bit heavier. At TSF, the trails we choose allow you to have careful thinking and planned movements.

If you go, please let me know if you would like to take a warm up trail. Hood Raiser is perfect for this - it starts as an easy trail, and if you feel comfortable, it continues into a moderate rating, which gives you a general idea of what we ride. For any trail more difficult than moderate, all drivers are given notice as to what to expect. They are welcome to ride passenger with the first vehicle through to see what's up, then they can decide to take a bypass or try it for themselves.

If it sounds like it's still not your thing, I might be persuaded to get a Barlow Toll Road run going, it's very easy while still being interesting. I haven't been out there in about 2 years and I didn't go very far, so I'm interested in seeing what else is out there.

I think I am the guy with the spacers and 18's! Tires are A/T 285/65/18. Truck did fine. Good spotting is a must, and I do have sliders that were used. Zach took home some trail rash by not having them.

Well, we DID do Archer's that time. Going on Cedar Tree and University FP, etc, is a bit safer.

OK, so I guess there definitely needs to be a TSF run this weekend. Does anyone have a date preference?

I just talked to chazjb this morning. I guess the guy had to sell his taco right around when we had the camping meet, and he's been pretty upset about it. He only has a Scout to wheel in now, but I told him he needs to still come with us.

Hey, I won't even discriminate against Lee!

    What a sweetheart you are

Also, the guy in the Subaru is a moron. Rally does not equal rock crawling. And apparently the concept of directions "Driver" "passenger" are like speaking spanish to him

AND THEN I READ THE VIDEO DESCRIPTION - what an absolute douche. I assure you, most Subaru guys I know are not this stupid.
