    Hey guys, new to TacomaWorld.

Just recently picked up an 08 DC SB SR5 Superwhite. I was wondering where you can buy a hood with a hood scoop already in it. I have been searching everywhere for one but I have not found one that has the scoop in it yet.

I am also on the lookout for the big TOYOTA FJ emblem with the white lettering to put on my grille but I can't find one either!

    Help please! Thanks!

Is there a truck you've seen on this site that has the emblem you're looking for? There are a few to choose from. If so post that pic on this thread and im sure someone can chime in with a part # for you.

It's an 89 Toyota Pickup. I got some stuff done to it.. FJ axles going under it soon.
    Are you nuts?
Do you know how much a hood for a 2nd Gen would cost from the stealership?

Your best option is to trade someone for their SKEWPED hood.

I got a quote for $800? I didn't think it was bad. I didn't buy it cause Its not priority. I'm in Fl, we don't have as many members as cali. Trust me I tried to find someone to trade hoods but it never happened.

w8n4mud - I want the FJ emblem that you have on your taco. That one is the size that I want.

And I called a Toyota dealership and they said they only sell the scoop but not the hood with the scoop already in it...

If you're over 5' tall the scoop won't obscure your view...

No one mentioned making it functional

I think we're all aware that it's purely decorative and also think it's safe to say no one cares. You obviously don't like the skewp, so don't buy one... The OP thinks they look good and wants one for his truck so why you shitting in his thread?

You didnt search too hard or you would have found lots of info like this http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacoma-marketplace/166525-fs-new-scoop-hood.html for under a hundred bucks you can get one from certifit but you still need the insert from toyota or you can buy it all from toyota for alot more which is the way i went cuz I was worried about fitment issuse but some have been happy with the certifit hood but either way they will still need to be painted which will vary alot also pics of my offroad are below

I don't see why everyone says the skewp obscures their view. I do not have this problem at all.

Thanks for all the helps guys!

I always thought those aftermarket hoods on eBay with the scoops were no good. I didn't know that Toyota supplied the scoop part to go inside of that gap in the hood. Well it looks like around $500 for the whole hood and stuff. I just got an aftermarket grille like two weeks ago and it doesnt fit very evenly, I'm sort of dissapointed. I hope that if I get this hood that it will fit well.

As for the emblem I found the right one thanks to W8N4MUD giving me the part number for it.

I just got so much stuff for my car already (new headlights, tail lights, tires, wheels, color matched bumper, grille, emblem) I'm dead broke right now. Gotta love being a freshman in college, paying for your own car, and working part time! I manage somehow though... Haha
