walmart has the Jerrycans under 20 bucks. as for the tires, you really just need them to hold air. I picked up one of my spares for 25 bucks from a mom and pop tire shop.

I am pretty excited, but I hope I will get my truck back on time.
I would like to know what the game plan is, are we going straight to the camp site first
or are we going to take the back rode to the site?

James and I have figuring out the points of interest for us to see. He has a better GPS so he'll be able to enter the coordinates. Originally I suggested we go straight to camp via freeway, unload and then head out. However, after researching the points of interest I think we should head in at Harvard Rd. and make our way through Afton Canyon like we always do. By doing this we can cover the west side on Friday and then on Saturday we'll have all day to cover the east side, all the way to stateline if we choose to. I would like to avoid unecessary stops to save us time so we don't get to camp to late. Even though the camps are in the middle of the desert, they tend to fill up in the evening. I'm also suggesting we get started earlier since we may be making more sight seeing stops.

Either way we'll have a good time like we always do.

***Please bring plenty of water because last fall it was extremely dry out there and we were running low on water.
***The spring run was very very windy at night. The wind destroyed two tents and bent many poles. Please be prepared for wind since we'll be camping almost a mile high.
***Please bring at least one tow strap and a shackle. In the spring two guys got stuck in the mud that was like quick sand and two trucks were not able to pull them out. Luckily a diesel Chevy showed up and pulled them out.
***If you're able to get dry ice you should use it. The dry ice will last all weekend and keep everything cool. Place dry ice at the bottom, regular ice over the dry ice and FREEZE your water bottles. This will help keep all your ice frozen instead of melting in 5 hours.

I think I might not make this one. It all depends if I can get my truck back in time. I'll have to wait and will know closer to the date. Keeping my fingers crossed.
