    Hi guys I just got a 2011 Tacoma trd sport and wanted to get a 3" lift. Im new to all this but whats a good kit for a fair price? I was looking at Pro Comp.

    You have bilstein HD shocks, I believe- these shocks are different from what you have stock.

    The 5100 front struts are adjustable to give up to 2.5 inches of lift, while the 5125's allow for more rear flex. Theyre also valved differently to give a better ride.

    Not these it doesn't. Please consult the FAQ link I posted above.

    Your truck comes with Bilstein HD shocks. Bilstein 5100 shocks are quite a different animal.

    Ohh ok, grat info thanks. I was told that I can use the ones I have and just get the lift kit. Is this true?

    You can but the ride will suffer because the shocks you have are not valved properly to dampen the stiffer spring rates associated with a lift.

    theyre also gonna be too short, so you'll lose downtravel if you plan on wheeling
