has anyone broke bed cleats

    i was wondering if anyone has brokin the factory bed cleats hauling a motorcycle or anything.....i have hauled my motocross bike once in my new truck and i have to admit it was sketchy looking but i had to ride.:D
    just wondering if anyone has actually brokin them

    Yep, add the D-rings "under" the front bed bolts, very easy mod and solid as you can get. I also added em in the middle too.

    I made a bracket for the corners which makes hauling dirtbikes much easier.

    The spring in mine is broken, doesnt lock into place so well now. Makes it really hard to get off.
    I think when i was tightning my strap the hook wasent locked right, bent the spring or something. I think they have a weight capacity stamped into them.
    Im doing the d-ring mod soon.

    06 tacoma. 3 in fat bobs leveling kit. 235 tires
    never broken any of mine and i've hauled my dirt bike multiple times . and i use to haul my ninja 500 in the bed, just with 2 straps to the front cleats. was a little sketch but held going down the interstate!

    I would go with the extra D-rings. Before I bought my truck, I went riding with my buddie in his Tacoma and they held but I was nervous the whole way. I think I saw a picture of the bracket mentioned above. If it is the same one, I like this one. Maybe he can show a picture?

    Most people use The factory D-rings. There are a few right ups on how to do the install, if you search you will find them.
