so if a stock 3.4 v6 has 190 horsepower, what would be the added horsepower boring it out to 3.8?
supercharger adds about 40-60 horsepower, but was wondering with the bore kit what it add on top of a supercharger??

it looks like the bore kits around 1300 dollars which is a lot less than i thought itd be for the parts.

    thanks for any input!

Don't know!! You could try to check out XRunderground or custom taco's if you can't find anything here, those sites have more interest in engine modification it seems.

    Good luck!

Cant bore it out. Its already bored out from the 3.0L engine. The walls are too thin to bore any further.

As for the supercharger, if done correctly, you can easily make 300+ hp.

yea you don't really want to change the bore or stroke of the 3.4l. I think i read once the stroke is actually closer to a race car then a truck...but dont quote me on that.

As said about, a SC done right will get your way more then just 70hp. Make a custom turbo kit and you'll get even more

    Exactly.

I've heard of exaclty 1 stroker 5vz out there. And it wasn't done on the cheap.

    http://www.bpelowcountry.com/TomsToyota.htm

TRD supercharger and URD 7th kit gets you damn close to 300.
Smaller s/c pulley, headers, and a new tune easily puts you over 300.

He's probably some retard that bought the truck from some douche that told him it was bored out. You cannot bore out the 3.4.

Ok, let me rephrase what i said. You CAN bore it, its just VERY ADVISABLE NOT TO. The walls are very thin as it is and boring it any further will inevitably end in disaster.

Did they actually bore it out or just stroke it? Probably ran out of money or blew up the engine.

It would be sick to bore each cylinder out 100cc to get ~4.0L

Boring an engine doesn't affect the walls of the crank case;)

Nope. The 3.4 is an entirely different engine.
