These are my thoughts after reading this thread and they other posted by the customer.

I definitely don't agree with dirtjumper on the expected response time and threats that he made. I believe that he was too harsh and jumped to conclusions way to fast.

However, I find it unacceptable for any company to turn a private transaction and those related discussions into a public matter. I would really like to know the limits of downtown's privacy policy.

I know they are a good company and obviously have very good customer service. I would be worried, after reading all of this, to order something from them now because the min. they receive an e-mail they feel is "bashing" it will be posted on a public forum like this.

Sharing details of a private transaction with the public is not right. I don't care who is wrong.

Downsouth was posting an e-mail that had no privacy disclosure. And they were concerned about the possability of the fault being theirs. They also left the guys name out of it. Everyone was able to put 2 and 2 together. I see no issue with what they did. This is a dead sublect, as the customer has been taken care of.

all i have to say is i am very new to the tacoma world, and after talking to jon for the past 2 weeks over PM's and playing phone tag. He has been more than helpful and patient with me trying to make my mind up on the right set up. I work for a outdoor retailer and i have delt with lots of people and i know it's really hard sometimes to make everyone happy but when you take the time to make a name for yourself and sleep well at night while doing it.

Take a QUICK look at the time stamps for both original posts- Dirt-dumbass posted his whining thread before Downsouth put anything up.
Chris already made all the other points that make sense...and honestly- I don't think we need people like dirt around...JMHLO
