You don't want to know what I think about this. Long story short, I very much disagree. We (the American people) keep getting fucked by everyone else, over and over

In the news report I watched last night they were estimating at least a BILLION dollars have stolen from the American people due to this, in Tampa alone...

Wow... that's crazy stuff. Sucks, while those crooks are getting away with millions, I'm getting my balls busted over a building permit! I guess that's what happens when you try to do the right thing

The only positive thing about this is that at least these people aren't afraid to spend the money they're getting. Kinda like crack's version of a bailout, doing their part to stimulate the local economy.

Seriously, it really sucks that they've gotten away with it for so long, and that it doesn't sound like there is a whole lot that law enforcement can do about it, at least as far a prosecuting them for the crimes that are actually being committed. Most of the people that get arrested for this will probably be back on the streets, doing it again, getting arrested again...long before the law actually can convict them of Tax Fraud.

Lots of people can't get jobs. Even when they want to make an honest living. But CEO pay is at an all-time high!

This is only half true. Many people want to work, to make a respectable wage for a decent job, but can't get one. After a period of bills stacking and eating mac-n-cheese every night, you're willing to try anything to get more take-home. So when a friend shows you a "trick" in the system and he's gotten away with it, it seems less harmless.

Now, obviously, there is a faction which works to capitalize upon holes in the system, and those people fall into this category.
