You should hit up the brewery in twisp while you are there. Twisp River Pub. Good food and good beer! Never camped there though. Should be fun.

When you get into Winthrop the you'll follow the highway turning right as you come into town. That will take you to Twisp.. if you turn left there the road winds up behind and above Winthrop out of town taking you by lake perragin etc. There are some excellent views you can get of the valley as you wind up the forest service roads. Great place for some very mild off-roading and pictures.

A great way to head home is to go south out of Twisp on the highway and make your way through Alta Lake, Pateros and then Chelan and Wenatchee. Then come home through Leavenworth for lunch or dinner. "South" is a great traditional Mexican restaurant in Leavenworth. Highly recommended.

We make this round trip once a year at least... really pretty in fall when the leaves start changing colors.

    Have fun!

Yeah I had a blast this weekend!! Forgot to put my memory card back in my camera though...so no pics :( camped up on one of the back roads away from the main crowds (my groups too noisy for close quarters haha) Enjoyed the rodeo and walkin around winthrop. so yeah all in all it was a good time! haha must have been coming from or going to the gym...thats about all I did today haha. I'm living out in deming for the next month or two until I get a place in town, so I'm out on 9 and the mount baker highway alot! your the first person to spot me! ha:D

You can also try Columbia Overland or Cascadia tents, both are based out of Bend, Oregon. I went to a presentation for Cascadia, and I really liked their products.

Cascadia also rents their products, so you can try it out if you like.

Sounds fun man. We just got back in town from Olympic Peninsula for 4 days. Didn't get too dirty, explored a few forest service rds and camped in the hills. Wish I had more time off. I'm just about tapped out on vacation for the yr now. :(

The tent is real nice man. They are pricey up front and kinda hard to justify but it has been worth every penny for us this summer. We've spent 25 nights in ours this yr and a lot of them have been in spots that woulda sucked to set up on the ground.

I most likely won't have any mods to do .. unless I pick up a DRL kit. Down for a get together anytime tho.
