    special tools= spark plug socket, lots of extensions for socket ( i think i had a 12" and a 6") and a guage to check the gap (4 out of 6 of mine were gapped correctly)

    most important - if the parts people try to sell you the single electrode plugs just walk out the door and go somewhere else. toys take only the dual electrode plugs. the store here sold me singles and when i went back to get the dual they argued with me that they wouldn't work :rolleyes: and they weren't even listed as a replacement part for the toys at all...they were under 'lawn and garden' or something else equally stupid. i told them that i didn't care whether of not they thought they would work, i knew that they would and the computer system was wrong.

    i have the part numbers somewhere...

    those are the two most popular brands - sometimes it depends on whats available. i went with ngk because the store didn't have 6 denso's in stock at hte time

    and for some unknown reason tacomas come off of the assembly line with 1/2 and 1/2 :notsure:

    No real reason, and no one can explain it. Get all Denso when you replace. Cheaper and perform just as well. If you go 50/50, you still have to get in there at 30k and replace the densos anyway
